I currently live in South Forsyth County and work in the Alpharetta area as a Certified Agile Scrum Master Project Manager and Software Quality Assurance Team Lead for Lancope, Inc., a company that provides network behavior analysis / network security solutions.

I am passionate about technology (particularly Web 2.0, open source, collaboration, Java, Ruby, Python, Perl, Drupal, Joomla, Adobe Flash, etc.); art and design; agile development culture; family; and fitness. I love music, with particular interests in 80's New Wave, Exotica, Space Age Lounge, Electronica, Ambient, World, etc.

I'm interested in networking with like-minded professionals and am always open to new opportunities. My ideal position would include leadership in the technology industry, particularly in software, web, art & design, new media, or a mashup of all these. Hi my name is Eneida Rodriguez Sparrow. I was born in New York City and have additionally lived in Boston and Texas. I have lived in Georgia for the last 6 years. I have a BS as well as a Juris doctor from Northeastern University School of Law. My dream career is having my own legal practice assisting primarily Latinos with their issues. As there is a severe shortage of Spanish speaking legal representation, particularly in Georgia, I feel that it would be a good niche for me. I foresee this occuring hopefully within the next several years.

Who has most inspired me is Jesus Christ. It may sound hokey, but He has been my source of inspiration during my most trying times and He is always there for me. He is all knowing, all giving and all comforting.

My favorite place to hang out is in the Georgia mountains. Despite being a city girl, I have learned to love the tranquility and beauty of the outdoors. Talulah falls is spectacular.

I do not have a favorite book and regarding music I love all kinds of music, except real twangy country music. My leanings are more toward Jazz and Salsa,

My hope for the Atlanta LatPro group is for it to grow and be the Latino Linkedin.

My hope in joining is to network further and hopefully make contacts that will afford me employment opportunities in the immediate future as well as friends in the Latino community. I still consider myself new here as I have yet to really develop a large network of friends. It is is difficult when you are working all of the time and are trying to have time with your family.

Any one who may know of some one in need of a bi-lingual pre-lawyer let me know. I can forward my resume. I have several areas of expertise.

Gracias,

Eneida

Hola a todos!

My name is Juliana Peña. I was born in Cali Colombia and now reside in the United States.

Currently, I work for the economic development organization for the state of Florida. You might wonder, why is she joining the Atlanta group if she is still in Florida? Well, I am currently relocating to 'the City of Trees.’ The only thing holding me up: Finding a job. My other half was relocated to Atlanta a year and a half ago. Needless to say we love Airtran!

My dream career would be to work for the United Nations in the Socio-Economic Development Council. I hope to attain that soon after I finish my Master's degree.

I have been greatly inspired by women such as Rigoberta Menchu, Nobel peace prize 1992. She is the demonstration that if you persevere, you will succeed.

Atlanta is such as great city, diverse and culturally rich! I love to hang out at the High museum, or at a little cafe in Virginia Highlands. During baseball season, Turner Field is the place to be. Go Braves!

My favorite book? This a tough one, but I could say that 'The Metamorphosis' by Franz Kafka and 'Cronicas de Una Muerte Anunciada' by Gabriel Garcia Marquez are on the top of my list.

I hope this group will help me connect with other young professionals in Metro Atlanta. Also employment leads would be well appreciated.

Until next time!

Cheers!

Juliana

Trato de ser optimista y no pensar que esto simplemente trata de copiar el éxito de Facebook o MySpace.

While this is designed for you to connect with new people who share your interests it's not for soliciting or promoting any business opportunity - please ask for clarification if in doubt.
