I am from Argentina. From my extensive experience with oriental producers I have created a extensive network of Chinese suppliers from where to import a diversity of products to the US markets and Latin America. At the moment I am forming an entrepeneurial trading company with my partner in Qingdao province. We are hoping to find an interest for Chinese products. Not discriminating any industry, our focus is to increase profitability to minority businesses by importing supplies from small to medium size producers in China. From any of you who may have an interest or specific idea of product development, I would appreciate feed back and/or request.

Hi everyone!

My name is Manuel Pérez Tejada from Veracruz, Mexico. After several years, finally this weekend I am graduating with a PhD in Film Studies from the University of Kansas. Before that, I received a master's in Television, Radio and Film from Syracuse University. But that was also long ago, during my first time doing graduate studies in the States. After Syracuse, I became a college instructor at a well-known university in Mexico, the Tec de Monterrey, campus Estado de Mexico. My second adventure in the States started in 2001 thanks to a Fulbright scholarship. At first, it was a little bit tough since my background was in video an TV production, not on film theory. Two years ago I received a postdoctoral fellowship at Georgia Tech. That is what brought me here to Atlanta. I only have 14 months left before I have to return to my home country. That is the deal with J1-visa holders after getting a degree and completing what is known as academic training, basically a chance to work in your specialization field.

If there is a chance to work in a professional media production environment before going home I would take it. It would be amazing to have such an opportunity before going home. My dream would be to collaborate with CNN en Español or in a Latino cable network.
Here in Atlanta, I like to jog at Piedmont Park, hang out around the Little Five Points area, or relax in a coffee place. I enjoy different kinds of music, from good ol' progressive rock, like the Yes band, to salsa music like Willie Colón or Rubén Blades. Not a music expert, and I am more familiar with Cheap Trick, U2, Supertramp, Who, Mana, Juanes, R.E.M. and Cold Play than Apples in Stereo, Placebo, the Donnas, System of a Down or Rage against the Machine. In terms of films, I prefer independent cinema over the blockbuster. Few films I have watched lately, "Rudo y Cursi," "Lake Tahoe," and "Sin Nombre." I also enjoy films like "The Diving Bell and the Butterfly," "Chunking Express," "Joint Security Area," "The Piano," "Turtles Can Fly," or "The Death of Mr. Lazarescu."

Ok, I am going to stop now. This message is getting too long.

I am a new member and need your help. I publish a bi-lingual, Hispanic magazine www.palacio.com and it is now breaking into the Atlanta area. I am looking for bi-lingual sales people who want to make some good money with a reputable, growing company. Anything you can do to help me find these sales associates would be greatly appreciated.I publish books and magazines and my website is www.beautimedia.com

I am a member of the GA Hispanic Chamber and speak fairly good Spanish!

I hope to meet new friends and become more involved in the Hispanic community through this association.

Ciao!

Katherine

Hello You'all! I am Colombian by birth and a new resident of Atlanta. I grew up in South Florida and have lived and travelled all over the place. As I make my home in Atlanta, I love the idea of uniting forces with other Hispanics who understand the importance of the power of numbers to build awareness of the diversity of our cultures. The importance of the Hispanic market to expand industries at all levels, to help rebuild the economy, whether it is through knowledge, hard work or purchasing power, cannot be overlooked. And that is what we are here to do. Hope to get to meet each and everyone of you very soon! Connie

Welcome to the LatPro network!

LatPro was launched in 1997 to become the very first job board connecting Hispanic & bilingual professionals with recruiters. We still lead the field, consistently ranking among the top Internet job boards. Now you can join our professional network. While this is designed for you to connect with new people who share your interests it's not for soliciting or promoting any business opportunity - please ask for clarification if in doubt.
