I was born in Dallas, TX lived here all my life, but would love to live anywhere in California, NM, Seattle, Boston, NYC or Chicago.
I am doing my 'Dream Career' as the owner of a national Model and Acting Agency.
My Aunt Ann, who was my inspiration from childhood to adult. She took me to museums, the theater, shopping (!) and spent valuable quality time with me that probably saved my life as a teen. She attained her PHD after she was 50 yrs old and passed her mentoring onto my sons. Sadly, we lost her in 2008.
Hey, any Gloria's or Cozymels will do! Also, Studio Movie Grill is a fave.
Current book I am reading and would recommend it to anyone is BLINK, by Malcolm Gladwell. Fascinating study on quick cognition, thinking that happens in a Blink of an eye, that most often are right, creative, brilliant and world/civilization changing.
I can appreciate all kinds of music, from Bach to the screaming rock 2 of my sons play!
I hope to find a good way of locating Latino temporay talent for modeling, acting and basic promotion staff types here in Dallas and nationally.

I was born in Mexico and relocate to the US when I was 17. I graduated from Devry University with a BS in Accounting and from Keller Graduate School of Management with an MBA in Finance. I have worked for US companies with operations in Mexico, which provided me an opportunity to revisit my roots. My dream job is becoming a CFO, company size does not matter. I am a family and church going type of person, and enjoy my family life. I love sports such as soccer, golf, baseball and futbol (go cowboys) By joining the Dallas group I hope to network with other professionals.

I am currently a recruiter for the Fort Worth Independent School District (FWISD) in Fort Worth, Texas. I was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pa. to Puerto Rican parents. I graduated from Rutgers University with a M.S.W. and have worked in urban education for the past 15 years. FWISD has a total of 135 schools and 80,000 students. We have a 60% Latino/Hispanic student population and we are constantly seeking highly qualified, passionate, enthusiastic, bilingual professionals.

I have resided in DFW for the past 2 years. My mother is my greatest inspiration being a single parent in foreign land. I have not found a favorite spot to hang out in Dallas as of yet. I recently read the The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao..pretty good.

I hope to bring the best educators that TX has to offer to the students and families of Fort Worth.

Hello,

My name is César Serrano and I will be relocating in Houston Texas in February/March of 2010.
It is a real pleasure for me to be in this group and I hope to be able to share experiences and do some networking with my fellow members.

Having been born into an Ecuadorian-American family, I speak English and Spanish fluently and have also studied German for many years. My education has been bi-cultural, in the sense that I have attended universities in Ecuador and in the US. I received my B.S. degree in Biological Sciences and Aquaculture from the Florida Institute of Technology in 1991, and completed the course study for the Masters in Health services management at the Universidad Católica Santiago de Guayaquil here in Guayaquil, Ecuador, where I currently live.

My work experience has been basically in the areas of aquaculture, health services management, university education, and English-Spanish translation and interpreting. I am currently a full time translator (I occasionally interpret) and work mainly in the area of IT project management. I currently translate all the material (contracts, user manuals, SOWs, BOLs, schedules, etc.) related to the implementation of a contactless ID card system. My areas of expertise are engineering, law, technical material, and science.

I have chosen to relocate in Dallas because I understand it is a growing city with a high quality of life. I would like to work in a position that would require my bilingual and management skills.

Thank you.
