Hi everyone. My name is Rita. I was born and raised in Guadalajara, Mexico but I have lived and worked in California, Washington DC, Ecuador, England and Panama. My dream job would be as a member of a training team working with poor communities in developing countries on environmental and poverty-alleviation issues. I have been inspired by many people; mostly people who have dedicated their lives to working to conserve the environment and reduce poverty. Zocalo´s is a neat place to have a margarita with a friend and their food is very good. I read a great deal. Some of the books I have liked best include "100 years of solitude", "The space between us", "To kill a mocking bird", "The elegant universe." and many others. I love all kinds of music, depending on my mood or the circumstances. I love to dance salsa and merengue. Love to listen to love songs and classical music. I am currently looking for a job in Sacramento to be near my partner. I would like the Sacramento LatPro group to grow into a professional networking group where members can ask for advice, recommendations, etc. Friendships will develop, too.

I am returning to Sacramento after more than 20 years living around the US and the world.

I am a Lean manufacturing executive (Automotive & Telecom Industry) with more than 20 years of experience. I was born in Mexico City, raised in Tijuana, Mexico and have been in the US since 1964.
I spent 20 Years in the US Air Force and Retired as a Major from the now closed McClellan AFB in North Highlands.

I am looking to work in Sacramento in the manufacturing & Operation Industry
