Bilingual & Hispanic jobs / career social networking | LatPro

Welcome to the Upstate New York group on the LatPro Network. A great way for everyone to get to know each other is for new members to come and tell us a little about yourselves.

Here are some suggestions of what you can share, but please be creative, add whatever you'd like!

Where were your born?
What is your dream career? What do you hope to do to attain that?
Who has most inspired you?
Where is your favorite place to hang out in Upstate New York?
What's your favorite book?
What is your favorite type of music?
What are your hopes for the Upstate New York LatPro group?

Hi My name is Francisca Manning, I was born in San Diego CA. My dream career is happening, I'm currently working as a recruiter, but I would like to take it remotely and possibly work 1 or 2 days a week...If anybody knows of a company..please let me know. I'm a top recruiter specializing in these areas: financial, healthcare and sales. My mom is my inspiration. I don't hang out, I'm a mom, I work. In books no faves, I love all kinds of music.

I will hope that the LatPro Upstate NY group grows significantly, there is great industry and great talent!

I was born in Haiti and always dreamt of working for the United Nations (my Masters is in International Health). I love to travel and visited many countries when I was younger. I love different cultures and always interested in learning about people. Since I speak many languages, I want to offer my services as an interpreter or online language tutor.

My parents are my inspiration and I have had a terrific childhood ( I am definitely blessed). Because of my love of history, visiting museum, one of my favorite place to hang out is the Buddha Temple in Carmel, New York.

I do not really have a favorite book because I am an avid reader and I focus mostly on self-help books (unless Oprah happens to mention a book from a her book club - I may buy it). As far as music is concerned, I am a "golden oldie and a Motown girl".

Since I am fairly new at these social network sites, I hope to meet interesting people so that we can truly help one another grow. Let us pledge that if we hear of anything that can help a person in the network, we should share it.

I was born in El Salvador, but moved to Texas when I was little. I don't know if I have figured out a dream career, yet. Because of my current career I have become a Jack of All Traits; I like the ability to start new projects, manage different groups and constantly be challenged, but it would be nice to have some stability and grow in a specific area. I really love history and I find inspiration in the daring, intelligence and foresight of any revolutionary. Anyone from John Adams to Che is amazing. I move tomorrow, I will get back to you on the favorite place. There are too many great books. I love the blues, salsa, zydeco, classic rock and reggae.
Because my wife and I are not from this part of the world, I would love to make some connections (social and professional) in order to make Upstate our new home.

Hi Ted,

My name is Wanda. I just read your personal profile and I have only met one other person from El Salvador. In what part of Texas are you? I went to Dallas last year for the first time to a business seminar. It was very hot but I really liked it. I always like to visit U.S. cities. I am curious as to what you do? Are you a project manager?

Anyway, I hope to hear from you soon.

Welcome to the LatPro network!

LatPro was launched in 1997 to become the very first job board connecting Hispanic & bilingual professionals with recruiters. We still lead the field, consistently ranking among the top Internet job boards. Now you can join our professional network. While this is designed for you to connect with new people who share your interests it's not for soliciting or promoting any business opportunity - please ask for clarification if in doubt.
