I work as a Private Banker at Wells Fargo. I do plan on staying with Wells Fargo for a while since I want to go back to Grad School. But I do wanna say that if anyone needs anything with regards to banking let me know and I can help you with anythin…
I offer strong quantitative, analytical and organizational skills, along with my native speaking proficiency in both English and Spanish. Growing up, I playing all kinds of sports competitively but choose tennis, sport in which I got to be ranked in the top 100 junior ranked in the world by the time I was 18. By that time I had travelled to many countries around the world, exposing me to many different cultures. This I feel helped prepare very well for when I reached college and beyond. It allowed me to be flexible and capable of working in any environment with any group of people.
During my studies at University of California, Santa Cruz, I was a leader of a team that won two NCAA championships in 2005 and 2007 while at the same time, managed to double mayor in Global Economics and Political Science. Being on a sports team did teach me how to be a team player, leader, quick problem solver and organized individual. This experience also taught me how to have strong work ethics, remain highly motivated, and have strong positive thinking. My passion for achieving results and discipline are qualities I developed as an athlete that have served me in the business world.
During my last year of college, I interned at CitiGroup Smith Barney, where I acquired skills in financial analysis. During my internship I was supervised by the vice-president of the branch, and helped brokers and financial advisors in writing reports regarding investor’s portfolios and investments. I also observed financial advisors selling and purchasing stocks, bonds and securities. The internship was 3 months long and I gained vital experience with regards to investment banking.
During my last quarter as a UC Santa Cruz student, I travelled to Washington DC where I interned on Capitol Hill for the office of California Senator Barbara Boxer. As an intern on Capitol Hill I gained vital insight into how the US Senate operates. My duties at Senator Boxer’s office consisted of preparing memos for her legislative staff on Senate Committee Hearings and interest-group briefings in addition to researching and organizing the Senator’s daily news briefing. I was also performing tours of the Capitol as well as manning the Senators front desk. Interning at Senator Boxer’s office was an invaluable experience which taught me how to work in a very fast past environment which was extremely similar in many ways to being in a college sports team.
After having completed my studies at UC Santa Cruz, I moved to Los Angeles and began working for Enterprise Rent a Car in Manhattan Beach. During my last 6 months with the company I have learned a lot about how to run a business. After only being with company for 3 months, the manager assigned me the administration of the El Segundo satellite location, which for that month had an 80% customer satisfaction. I qualified for the past 3 months as one of the top sellers and with the highest income per employee (income per car put out on the road). I have also been sent out by my managers to market the company with the local businesses in Manhattan Beach and El Segundo. As an Enterprise employee I have learned even more about how to work as a team and always strive to be the best. All this has instilled in me the ability to work in a very fast paced environment in which I am able to face multiple challenges at once. This I feel has been an invaluable experience that has helped me grow as an individual.
