Saludos

The local economy has been hit very hard, I believe Las Vegas, NV has the highest unemployment rate in the country. But the worse has come and gone, I personally lost my job when the Bank I worked for declared for bankruptcy. But have been able to survive doing some consulting work. Things are bad now, but getting better everyday as more tourists come to take advantage of the low costs at hotels, restaurants, etc, etc. Its a good time to come only because cost of living (buying a house, food, entertainment, taxes etc) is at its lowest and as soon as the economy gets better life will be back to normal and any real estate bought will increase in value. Thus it's a great investment today. As for a personal life, if you have the energy and desire there is always something fun to do in sin city. If you can stay away from the Strip, then its a very healthy city, great outdoors (when its not too hot), mountains, lakes and parks everywhere, not much of a cultural scene but a lot of entertainment, music and shows, comedians. Great food everywhere. What else can I tell you?

Well the general marketing field is very tough, but with your experience in hospitality and tourism I believe you will be OK. A lot of Sales positions, but not too many buyers in vegas these days. Overall I think you should be OK with your own yoga business, but be ready to work very hard as the market is shrinking for now and there is a lot of competition for clients of all types of services. Good luck.
