- I am a college student, graduating on May 16, 2009, with a double major in Spanish and International Studies and an emphasis in Latin American Studies. I am currently seeking out ways to further improve my Spanish vocabulary and conversation skills while actively pursuing a career that allows me to utilize them. I have a strong background in customer service and a desire to help others. I am skilled in written and verbal communication, translation, planning and organizing.
- what languages do you speak?
- English (native) and Spanish
- what is your current, past or ideal job title?
- I am currently waitressing at a restaurant while I finish my Bachelor of Arts degree. An ideal job title for me as an entry-level candidate would be a bilingual customer service representative . I would love to work for a non-profit organization, study abroad organization, hostel, or travel organization. I am interested in travel as part of the job (say 25-30% of the time), yet I would like to remain in one location for the majority of the year.
- your connection with Latin America?
- I have ventured to Latin America on two different occasions, both for a study abroad program organized by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. I spent four weeks in Salvador, Bahia, Brasil in 2005 and five weeks in Guanajuato, Guanajuato, Mexico in 2008. In Brasil, I participated in a cross-cultural psychology study with college. students there, and in Mexico I took Spanish business and history/literature courses at the Universidad de Guanajuato. On both excursions I stayed with a host family for the entire duration.
- your favorite Latin American city? vacation spot? food?
- My favorite city to live in, which has all aspects of a great city but with the friendliness of a close neighborhood, is Salvador, Bahia (Brasil). My favorite facation spot, also in Brasil, is BY FAR Morro do Sao Paulo. If you can go, you must. It is paradise. As far as food, I love it and can appreciate it in every place I go so it is too hard to pick a favorite.

- I have always lived and worked in the United States.

- I enjoy listening to all types of music and pride myself on always having the newest tracks. I am also trying to learn to play the acoustic guitar that my dad gave me.
I love the water and in the summer I enjoy swimming whenever I can. I would prefer the ocean over the lakes of Wisconsin, but I will take whatever I can get!
