your connection with Latin America?
My wife is from Bogotá, Colombia; our family lived and worked in Colombia for a year. I studied in Mexico in my junior year of college, and studied in Colombia under a Fulbright grant. I also founded and chair a nonprofit Latino arts organization called Raíces Culturales Latinoamericanas.
your favorite Latin American city? vacation spot? food?
Bogotá is definitely my second home, but I also like Pereira, Cartagena, Santa Marta and San Andrés. I enjoy traveling to Puerto Rico and nearby islands.
Favorite foods: arroz con pollo, arepas, pan de yuca, ajiaco, arroz con gandules

I have studied in Mexico and Colombia, and worked in Colombia.
