Jose, I don't know of any needs currently in my area for spanish teacher. You can check out in Craigslist sometimes people post jobs for tutors of spanish and other languages.

Mr. Rodriguez,

My name is Robert Weintraub, and I am a writer for Slate. I am writing an "explainer" piece discussing why Russian names, such as Vladimir, are common (relatively speaking) in the Dominican Republic. Is it a remnant of the Cuban/Marxist influence, such as it was, from the 60s? Has it ever been discussed in your family? Obviously, baseball's Vlad Guerrero is the best known example, along with the now infamous Yuri Sucart, A-Rod's cousin. Are there other, non-baseball examples that I should know about (besides yourself, of course)?
I greatly appreciate any help you can provide.
