Calling VIProfessionals to make use of this Network and give PRO-ACTIVE Solutions to this "headache".........Immigration Reform
because we need to uplift our hardworking Latinos in all career fields that do not have voice or vote.
I have 2 friends, one is a Psychology and the other is a dentist, both have to hire, I ask myself if we have many brainstorms here Why we do not have a document or an ID just to identified who you are and the Law can keep track of who their are, or where to find them..........Is not this just one ST......excuse.........where is a mother technology, all their degrees their earn in the *U*, and all the US$ the government said is sending to Immigration to keep up with Tech.
I found it contradictory because I do not know if you here maybe 3 months ago the government want to create a database of all the Foreigner that had been involved in any unlawfully activities, my point is, if we have money to spent in this program, Why? We do not spent this money finding a solution to a major group (12'000.000) of people who has been good citizens, parents and kids, creating a well civilized and well educated world class.........no more CRIMINALS.
"Milestone for Latinos" This is the best moment to find your NICHE.........To the world best Enteprenuers.

Will it really be reform? Or will it simply be an effort to get more votes. For many years Democracks have kept the Black people in the Democrack plantation and now they want to put Latinos in the Hacienda all the while holding them down. I do not vote Republican or Democrat they are all in it for themselves. Just remember this is not about reform its all politics.
"Politicians are the worst; they'll wear their country's flag in public, but they'll use it to wipe their asses in the caucus room, if they think that it will win them a vote"
I may be out of place as I am not from South or Central America or Mexico. My wife is from Peru and immigrated here approximately 15 years ago. Certainly the immigration process was burdensome then and more so now. Through the process I noticed some oddities, mainly how they treated her. If I had not been present, I wonder how different their response to her would have been. We were probably even lucky in that her citizenship was initially denied because we filed seven days too early. I pursued an appeal and hinted at legal action, and they changed their position. Again, we were probably lucky.
What I am getting at is that the immigration system will not be fixed by merely reworking the immigration laws. The immigration laws, as they currently stand are already extremely convoluted, just look at the number of visa types available. Then look at the different rules governing immigration from each country.
I personally enjoy the richness of the immigrant population. However, to have effective reform we need to look at the basis for immigration in its totality. What I mean is immigration is an issue of Schools, Health Care, Welfare, and jobs. All these factors play into immigration. This is why "coyotes" and "human traffickers", as an example, make so much money transporting people. The hope for a better life.
I don't necessarily have the answers on how to reform the system. What I do believe though is that immigrant population is here to stay and that we benefit from the diversity. We now only need to give the benefit of legal status to those that are already working here.
The other area I think we should reform is what we consider criminal. This is what I found odd in how they treated my wife. While some were professional, many treated her almost as a criminal. The interesting thing is that many who truly commit the illegal activities, i.e. "coyotes" go unoticed.
So yes, I am in favor of reform. Just the reform that would look beyond immigration and to the other needs/motivators; education, healthcare, and jobs.
I would like to point out that the improvement being contemplated is not for immigrants ... please do not make the common mistake of using this "term" so carelessly. The proper classification is "Illegal Residents" Reform. Immigrants, by definition or popular understanding, are those that must submit themselves to a lengthy selection process in order to obtain legal status in the country of interest. That said, it is worth mentioning that I am in favor of modifying the applicable laws with the intent of granting certain amnesty privileges to those who have shown merit. On the other hand, we cannot allow anyone to participate (directly or indirectly) in abuses of the system as seems to be the case. Furthermore, it is extremely shameful that many fellow Latinos often prefer to hide behind the ever-present shield of Racism or Discrimination whenever they cannot face or refuse to accept reality.
Divide and Conquer...... Differentiate between races (17 classifications), gender (9 kinds), minorities (8 groups), disadvantaged, marginalized, etc. Illegal, undocumented, criminal, social leeches, Affirmative Action tokens, etc. What else can the government come up with to keep the downtrodden down? Keep victimizing the victims? For what? Who wins?.... the politicians in California, Texas, Chicago, New York, Puerto Rico..... senators, union leaders, elitists, Ivy League graduates candidates to the Supreme Court? We had a Secretary of Education that was a total flop, a candidate for the Supreme Court that was exorcised, another one on the way that is Affirmative Action, an Attorney General that was chased out of office. And, how many articles, programs, efforts, campaigns are there or have ever been designed for the immigrants that stood in line for years waiting for their visas to enter the US, are hard workers, kept their noses clean, are productive taxpayers, are good examples in their community and church, raised their families in a wholesome environment, have successful businesses?.... Do they not count? Are they to be ignored? These are the issues that concern us, and we should not let the greedy politicians exploit us for their political advantage. If our young generations survive the socialist brainwashing at the public education schools, and universities, we may have a chance at overcoming the dumbing-down of this country.
Regardless of my opinion of right or wrong. This debated topic of immigration reform will not go away. The faults are not the general public but our politicians on both sides of the border. One country enforces the border and another one does not. On the other hand, one side exploits people and the other well, never really explains but has poverty wages. Either way latin people are screwed.
Is it the right time to do this? probably not. The US can barely take care of its citizens here much less from another country. Why should i work like a dog with two jobs to pay for somenone who is not from this country? I would like to study in thier universities like the UNAM or Monterey Tech because i am not a Mexican Citizen. I do no quailfy for any social programs either because i am not a citizen. I have to obey the laws of Mexico. I have no right to demand or tell the Mexico government or people to give me anything. Why should people who live in the USA illegally be given special treatment? Regardless of what country they may come from in the world. If people cannot enforce or respect each others borders, than why have them? We should be able to roam freely and respect one another. Sadly to say, the world does not work that way. I am not a republican or democrat. I also do not vote because most of our politicans are corrupt.
I am more in favor of pro-student and education for all in the Americas. i wll be leaving the USA to work in South America as a educator for students at the university.
1. The US should stop meddling in the affairs of other countries, ESPECIALLY, Latin American countries.
2. The US should set up parameters that will help Latin American countries become more technologically advanced, will help them grow their R&D infrastructure and will help them enter the 21st Century on their own with the intelligence that each country already possesses.
3. There should be a free flow of commerce among all nations, INCLUDING PEOPLE, like they have in Europe so that those who want to seek opportunities south of here can just as much as those who want to come north.
4. We need to integrate the four major languages throughout the Americas and ensure a free flowing environment in all aspects of society.
5. ALL AMERICANS need to make serious reparations to the indigenous tribes that we've been killing off ever since Europeans first landed and started slaughtering.
If the US would stop using its Nazi-like jackboot to suffocate the rest of the Americas, everyone would have a much better life and there wouldn't be any "immigration problem." And there isn't one now, since those who come here don't mind work as slaves for slave wages and in horrific conditions. That, in and of itself, is a crime against humanity that should be enough to lock away most if not all of the major agricultural CEOs and their shareholders.
I better be because I am one of those 12 million, I heard people say "you have to go to the end of the line ", well I've been in a line for the last 20 years, but the window was closed, by choice I admitt that of course but I paid my dues and I do not really talk about the taxes I paid to the IRS all those years,
I am talking about the years I spend here knowing if I go back to "my country" there is no return to the States, for the family celebrations I couldn't attend or the birthdays or anniversaries that I missed but mainly for the funerals I could not attend.
Yes I paid my dues damm right I did, I paid them, this is what I decided to do, and I taugh it up now its time for us to come out of the shadows, like they say.
Its' funny sometimes I know so many people here and I wonder they probably would not beleive me if I'd told them I am one of the 12 million with no status, illegal? what would they do, turn their backs on me ? Probably some will do.
True what MLK said "what Hitler did was legal" ...and I add to it "for whites only" signs were also legal, and that was not so long ago right? the 60's 40 years ago it's only twice the time I 've been living here, not so long ago.
I wasn't born here and I'm always going to be a foreign even if I go back to "my country". Here, there everywhere a foreign and by choice, again I' ve chosen to raise my kids here to make a family here and I'm not going anywhere.
Considering our foundation: "Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breath free...", no matter what the condition of the economy, or the righteous who proclaim this is 'their' country, I believe we are all humans and must uplift and help each other no matter what differences we have. Immigrants have needs. Most are doing very menial jobs to subsist; jobs many others won't take for how little it pays... easier to be on welfare. I was Federal Court Interpreter in Vegas and this is where I got my feet wet as to their plight... very humble people. Any and all laws to allow all immigrants to stay and integrate into our society are welcome, as far as I'm concerned. Then they can be truly free to be, pay taxes, enjoy what opportunities this country offers, and feel human again.
Those were the precepts of this country. Did something change that I'm not aware of?

May the Most High bless all the Latinos here on LatPro, may the Spirit of Wisdom find you whereever you are.
I am so sick of all this immigration stuff. The truth of the matter is that no matter what they do to us, it ain't as bad as what we do to each other.
How many Latino professionals are there here on LatPro? How many of them are connected in their neighborhoods to the young people? How many of them are helpingh to destroy our peoples?
You take jobs that hurt our nations, you use us to get ahead, then forget who we are.
How many programs have been started by Latinos in healthcare? In child services arenas? How many foster homes are run strictly by Latinos? How many schools do we have taught by Latinos, and about Latinos?
How many Latinos are standing in government positions screwing our people over?
We will always be targetted for something because that is the smoke screen of America. We are the new version of the morenos. We get blamed for welfare, diseases, and just about anything esle they can think of. They try to take away our language, but make money teaching it.
We the Boricuas are the worse, we sit at home, do nothing and then talk about others, like the Mexicanos. All day we sit joking on them because we have food stamps, but they have a communidad.
We have one Puerto Rican day, they live the Mexican way of life.
Immigration reform will not help until we can stand united as Latinos, irregardless to what nation we fall under.
Have you been to the American blogsites on this same issue? Have you read the things they write?
Yet we strive to be just like them. It is time for us to take off our shoes and ties and start being one nation under God, then immigration reform will change.
I have copied a blog post I wrote on MSn Money Blogs about the immigration reform post.
The funny side to immigrants, we are all immigrants. At any time your ancestors hail from another land you are an immigrant. The first immigrants to this land murdered and raped a whole nation, that mind you, fed and taught them how to survive, who helped them so that their babies wouldn't die. Then they turned around and killed them. Maybe the illegals and all other immigrants should really leave. They would be better off starving in their country.
To all the people I love in America, we gave our life blood for things and causes which had nothing to do with truth. The immigrant issue is a fog. To keep us at each other, blaming one another, and their getting away with murder. The last I heard the Constitution said "for the people and by the people". We ask to have our children sent home , the n*****s, the s***s, the ****, all of them. Since the start of this war, how many homes have been foreclosed? How many companies have not stolen the workers money? How many farmers were threatened, beaten, crops damaged, how many children didn't lock their parents in nursing homes to sell their hard earned and worked farms? What have they been doing to the poor? Creating programs by creating the problem. Who drugs three and four year old? You have a war on drugs sucking up how many dollars, brought in by the same people that charge you for keeping it out. The schools, the schools, everyone hollers, but you don't care about us. Because when the funding trickles down, you suck it right up like the vampires you are. You have trained the American people to become drones. I, Robot isn't far from the truth. Free America? You can't even grill on the fourth of July with family and friends if your poor because your congregating. If you weren't so evil, you wouldn't be thinking we out to get you. You can't play softball in the park any more without having to pay for it. Who did that, immigrants? How many people weren't suckered to sign for one thing or another and find out later on they got dupped, and bankrupt, right here in the good ole USofA
Send them home today. Why should they die for people who can kill very well for themselves.
So America, this letter is for you. Where are you? What happened to you while I was away? How can we allow this horrible change, people are drones with no though of their own, with images and myspace, that's the new way. Wake up my darlings, before its too late. We don't want to let them have control
United together we once were you see, but they came and divided by each others seed. They pit us together, like a gladiator movie, hoping, we'd kill each other off, instead God turned it around and made us free. To discover that we were no different in their eyes, poor is poor is poor, poor don't have color or race poor is the fate of most of this continent. Those rare chosen few, laugh at us all the day through, as they keep tabs, from satelites far.
First and foremost,
I would like to ask my God and Savior to bear witness to the Words I say, to all who read this on this space.
First of all,
a criminal: defined by the standards of the Most High.
Any thing taken with bodily harm is a technical foul. At any time that you use brute force to enforce your will, drugs to alter minds, break up homes that were divine. You have criminals.
There are more organizations that are destroying the very fabric of the Constitution with their under the table behind closed doors terrorist tactics. You destroy and charge the American people, to fix.
You send the poor children of America to die horrible deaths in strange lands with no love, no mercy on YOUR PART. You give them drugs to make them killing machines, you break their family down while your away.
Middle-class? What a joke!!! The only thing they in the middle of is the ghetto poor and you. The money. The power. The ones that claim a righteous order and are nothing but a bunch of murderers. You kill at will.
You go into countries and kill and start wars so that you can profit. This is not your land, this is the land of the IAM-E-RICAN Indians, the true sons of GOD JAH, Lord over the heavens and the earth. God Jah Mighty Creator, Who parted the seas so that the immigrants can pass to their new land. A land clean and beautiful. Where there were no locked doors, no rape, no murder, no dead bodies left for a show called Cold Files. Women were the pride of her tribe.
What have you done to your women, you burn them, beat them, rape them. How DARE you talk about an immigrant. You take us out, and the land will once again grow dark and cold. I have seen through the eyes of your children. The ones with all the money, poor, lonely lost eyes. How can you claim a righteous God when your own children cry out to God against you. You teach them to hate, when love is all they want to do. You abandon them to nannies and such just to go appease your own insatiable lusts. Do your children know that half these people are starving in their country because of the laws you impose here, or is it that they do know, so you have to be away from them. Because their innocent eyes, that part of them that belongs to the Creator, is crying out. That people are dying by your hand everyday. How does it feel to play God? Well, the REAL ONE , THE ROCK!!! Once again you shall see the awesome power of GOD JAH CREATOR.
