By all means! There is no such thing as Illegal immigration. Everyone in this Hemisphere is an immigrant! Yes, everyone came from somewhere else, including Native Americans, although they arrived well before the European invasion and had a right to their land. Europeans brought the sinister institution which was part of the Mercantilist scheme, slavery, i.e., the immigrants who were brought here against their will. That is modern history. As per the current debate:

1. All of the propaganda against people of Hispanic origin and the human rights violations that are committed in the name of Immigration Law is nothing but pure racism which, up to now, has been supported by the government and the media with complete impunity.

2. I think that it is time to reform "trade agreements,"as well as Immigration Laws. Jobs are outsourced to other countries such as Mexico, where people are paid slave wages, At the same time, the people who are expected to receive slave wages do not have the right to go to work to the country which is the source of their exploitation? If one examines the racist argument, "they are here to take our jobs," wouldn't a reasonable person also wonder what really happened to the job that was lost? instead of blaming the victim?

3. NAFTA's Labor clauses should be reformed together with our Immigration Laws. If a fair labor clause is included in NAFTA, we may not have such an an "immigration" problem. We may have the opposite, US citizens moving to the other country!

4. As per the 12 million who have worked to earn their right to call this nation home, more power to you! You deserve it. It should be your right along with health care, education, and a retirement with dignity.
